Smt K.R Rekha is an ardent disciple of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam for more than three decades, a versatile Bharatha Nrithyam dancer with many notable performance in her repertoire. She has her Masters degree in Bharathanatyam from Madras University and a Graduate of Law. She began her Bharathanatyam training at the age of 5 with her Guru. Smt. Saroja in Vazhuvoor Style and later had her advanced training from Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, Nrithyodaya, Chennai. Successfully completed 4 years of Nrithya Pravesika, 5 years of Nrithya Visaradha and 2 years of post diploma in Nrithya Sali, specialized training in 108 Karanas and Nattuvangam, received the title Bharatha Nritya Priya. Her passion for dance and her dedication is widely known Smt. Rekha is an extremely gifted teacher who excels at bringing out the best in her disciple through her own institution Nardhanamala, Chennai. She works as an Academic Affairs Manager for APAA ( Alagappa Performing Arts Academy )Structured Learning Program in Bharathanatyam & Music based in Escondido, USA. In addition to Bharathanatyam Smt. Rekha has underwent training in Gliding & Parasailing, represented Tamil Nadu and and performed as a solo dancer and participated in the Rd parade, New Delhi in 1992, chosen as a Judge for the prestigious ‘Yuvajanotsavam 98’Thiruvanthapuram
